Mr. G's Soapbox

In old days, this might be called a "blog". I am not sure what they call it now. But periodically, I will post something here about education issues for which I think I have something to say. Short of our national defense and our health (which includes environmental issues), I can think of little else in the public arena that is as important as public education system.

I can almost see you there...rolling your eyes... another old fart retired teacher rambling on about how things were better "back in the day", or otherwise opining about something stupid or useless.

Well, if you've intuited nothing else about me so far, you should understand that I am in favor of some radical change in our public education system. If I had my may, the "old ways" of teaching would be obliterated. So, no, I don't pine for the "old days".

So, I will attempt to avoid saying something "stupid" or "useless", but me being me...I make no guarantees!
